Rumor – Real Madrid will not offer Ramos a contract extension

Image
There are rumors coming out of Spain that Real Madrid is not going to offer legendary center-back Sergio Ramos a new contract. Ramos is arguably one of the best center-backs in football over the past ten years.  He has been a linchpin for Real Madrid and their dominance of European football. However, the Spanish World Cup winner is now 33 year-of age and his current deal runs until 2021. Los Blancos must take all that into consideration plus the fact he is demanding a new two-year deal. Real’s policy is that any player over 30 can only be granted a one-year extension. According to  AS,  Florentino Perez and Real Madrid are having second thoughts about keeping him beyond his current deal. They may opt to bring in a more youthful partner for 25-year-old Raphael Varane. They would then utilize Ramos’ last 18 months to get the new center-back up to speed. Lionel Messi's 6th Ballon d'Or Fueled Cristiano Ronaldo To Break Multiple Records

Lionel Messi’s 6th Ballon d’Or award fueled Cristiano Ronaldo to turn back the hands of time and break multiple records. Despite a relatively slow start to the campaign, Ronaldo managed to bounce back and even broke records over the last two months. His latest feat was scoring a goal for Juventus in his last 10 Serie A games. Another notable record came just a few days ago when Ronaldo became the second fastest player to reach 50 goals in Italian soccer. The legendary forward has surpassed the original Ronaldo, also known as "Il Fenomino," who stands at 3rd after completing the feat in 77 games. On top of that, the Portuguese superstar has also scored against every active Serie A side he has faced and now has the chance to make a sweep when Juventus play Brescia and Lecce on February 16 and March 15. While Ronaldo’s series of record-breaking performances were already impressive, it has to be noted that “CR7” is already 35-years-old. Given his age, Ronaldo hasn’t

The 35-year-old Juventus superstar has built an incredible legacy in the sport and is widely revered as one of the best footballers of all time. And Ronaldo has won an incredible five Champions League trophies, four of which came at Real Madrid and one at Manchester United. The Portuguese forward is also the outright Champions League top scorer with 128 goals, which puts him 14 ahead of fierce rival Lionel Messi. But Twitter user Kol Mikaelson has slammed Ronaldo's success in the Champions League and accused him of being the most-overrated big-match player in the competition. Mikaelson pointed to Madrid's three back-to-back Champions League's successes and how the Portugal captain underperformed in different matches. According to the Twitter user, Ronaldo "put [in] one of the worst ever UCL performances" in the first-leg quarter-final clash against Wolfsburg in the 2015-16 season. And another instance the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was accused
