EACTION Getafe boss Bordalas fires back at Barca’a De Jong
Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong began a word of words with Getafe boss Jose Bordalas and now the manager is fighting back.
De Jong accused Spanish minnows Getafe of playing “annoying” football that is not “entertaining” to watch.
However, Bordalas has taken exception to the criticism and has some stats that make for more interesting reading than Barcelona’s “boring” style of play.
The argument began when Dutchman De Jong watched his old side Ajax in the Europa League against La Liga’s fourth-placed team.
De Jong gave his assessment of the game to NOS Sport.
He said:
“The match between Getafe and Ajax was painful for me, especially frustrating.”
“Getafe doesn’t play to entertain the public, I find it annoying to watch their games.”
The Spanish side used De Jong’s words as inspiration.
Speaking to Marca the manager has taken care of business first has fired back at the Barcelona man.
Bordalas said:
“When we played against Barca, his goalkeeper gave 69 passes.”
“I don’t want my goalkeeper to give 69 passes, something we would not be doing well.
“I want to create goalscoring chances.”
