RB Leipzig 3-0 Tottenham – Player ratings
RB Leipzig eased past last season’s runners-up and booked their place in the Champions League quarter-finals with an aggregate win of 4-0 over Spurs.
RB Leipzig were just too good for Tottenham Hotspur in a historical Champions League night which saw two debutants qualifying for the quarter-finals of the competitions.
Captain Marcel Sabitzer played a vital role in the victory with two goals in the opening 21 minutes, as the hosts did not even give a chance to Jose Mourinho’s side for a comeback from the 1-0 defeat three weeks ago.
The Red Bulls controlled the game in the remainder of the encounter and it was Swedish midfielder Emil Forsberg who set the final score just a few seconds after coming on as a substitute with three minutes remaining on the clock.
